Hi, I’m McKenna! I’m a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina, where I focused on health and mental health. I also hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Sociology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from UW–Stevens Point. In other words, I’ve spent a lot of time studying people—and I’m still fascinated by why we do the things we do.
I want therapy to feel comfortable, genuine, and human—not like you’re sitting across from someone silently taking notes while you tell them your entire life story. I bring a warm, approachable style to sessions and believe there’s plenty of room for humor, even when we’re talking about hard things. Sometimes we need to dig deep, and sometimes we need to laugh about how wildly inconvenient being a human can be.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Show up as you are, and we’ll take it from there.
Outside of work, I love athletics, spending time with friends and family, and picking up new hobbies—usually because I’ve convinced myself I definitely need another one.
