Frequently asked questions

Do you accept my insurance?

We are in the process of accepting most major insurances! Always call your insurance to verify if ElevateEQ is in-network with your specific plan. Please note: Interns and provisionally licensed providers are not eligible providers for Optum and Medicare.

Current insurances in-network: (many more to come soon!)

  • Florida - Medicare

  • Minnesota - Medicaid

When you use insurance as a form of payment, a diagnosis is required and the insurance provider may request access to your records.

I've never done therapy before... What should I expect?

Starting therapy is a huge step and it can be uncomfortable. At ElevateEQ, we welcome every person. Your sessions will be 55-60 minutes long, and your first appointment will be your intake. This is a great opportunity to build rapport with your therapist while identifying and exploring your personal goals for therapy.

What is private pay?

This is when you prefer to pay for your sessions out-of-pocket instead of using insurance. It can be beneficial if you would like to not involve your insurance provider in your mental health care.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
